How to distribute your music.

The short answer

To distribute your music from Nigeria or anywhere in Africa, create an Adfusion Africa account, upload your audio, cover artwork and release details, and choose the stores you want, such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Boomplay and Audiomack. Every release gets an automatic check and a review by the Adfusion team, and then the team delivers it to each store you picked. Set your release date at least 7 days after you submit, and follow every store's status from your dashboard until it goes live.

Step by step on Adfusion

  1. Create your account

Sign up with your artist or stage name and your email, accept the Terms and the Distribution Agreement, then open the confirmation link we email you. Managing several artists? Labels go through the label enquiry instead.

  2. Add the release details

Enter the release title, the primary artist, any featured artists, the type (single, EP or album), the genre and your release date. Featured artists go in their own field, and credits such as feat. or prod. never go inside the title.

  3. Upload your audio and artwork

Add your master as a WAV or FLAC file and your cover as a square JPG or PNG. Each file is checked the moment you add it, and audio uploads resume if your connection drops.

  4. Choose your stores and submit

Pick the stores you want, confirm you own or control the rights to the music and artwork, accept the Distribution Agreement and press “Submit for distribution”. The checks run again on our server, and nothing reaches the stores until both agree.

  5. Team review and delivery

The Adfusion team reviews every release. If something needs a change, it comes back to you marked “Fix needed” so you can correct it and resubmit. Once it passes, the team sends it to each store you chose.

  6. Follow it until it goes live

Your dashboard shows each store as your release moves from sent to delivered to live, and the team adds the link to play it on each store as it goes live.

What you need

The same rules the upload checks use, so a release that meets them goes straight to review.

Audio

  • WAV or FLAC. MP3 files are not accepted.
  • 16-bit or higher
  • 44.1 kHz or higher
  • Stereo
  • Up to 50 MB per track. A bigger WAV can be exported as FLAC: same quality, about half the size.

Cover artwork

  • JPG or PNG
  • Square, at least 3000 x 3000 pixels
  • No store logos, URLs or social handles
  • No third-party watermarks, illegal content or misleading information

Release details

  • A title with no emoji, and no ALL CAPS unless that is the official spelling
  • No feat. or producer credits inside the title
  • The primary artist name exactly as it should appear in stores
  • A genre
  • A release date at least 7 days after you submit
  • At least one store selected

Where your music goes

You choose the stores when you upload, and you can pick all of them or only some. The list in the app today includes:

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • YouTube Music
  • Boomplay
  • Audiomack
  • Deezer
  • TIDAL
  • Amazon Music

How long it takes

Choose a release date at least 7 days after you submit. That gives the Adfusion team time to finish the review and delivery before your date.

After release

Get it heard.

Distribution puts your song in the stores. Promotion puts it in front of people. Adfusion Africa runs TikTok campaigns for your release, with a content strategy built around your release window and reporting on how the campaign performs.

Creator and influencer campaigns take it further, through people whose audiences already trust them. Once your release is live, use “Promote this release” in your dashboard or send an enquiry from the campaign page, and the team comes back to you with a plan and a quote.
